PAINTING WITH THREAD
A STITCHING TECHNIQUE WORKSHOP
INSTRUCTOR: BARBARA MAYO GRASS
Barbara is a nationally certified needlepoint instructor
who just happens to be a member of our guild. One of
her talents is creating lovely stitched foliage and
flowers by creatively blending and shading using 1
strand of cotton floss on Congress cloth. She has
generously offered to do a workshop and teach us that
technique. We will work from a transferred or traced
design on a self-provided piece of light colored
Congress on a tack-mounted 12 X 12 frame. We will raid
our stash for the threads. As this is a technique
class, we will learn a stitching method to use on other
canvasses in the future. So come and enjoy a relaxed and
informational day.
